This 60” round blanket is designed, hand dyed, and constructed in Omena, Michigan on the Leelanau Peninsula. It is made of an organic cotton/bamboo blend that was sustainably grown and processed. The cotton threads are grown and milled in America, and the fabric was milled in Canada. We carefully dip dye each piece individually in an organic indigo vat, therefore color and shade variations are expected and are the nature of hand made products.
OWL is a small family owned business in Leelanau County. They strive to keep their materials local and to have the least environmental impact as possible.
Their tag line, “locally driven conscious clothing,” accurately describes their company mission.
Wash separately on cold. Line dry or tumble dry low. Indigo does change over time, just look at how old jeans look after years of wear, but that’s one of its common and desired qualities.
